The Research Development Specialist provides pre-award and post-award support for sponsored projects in the humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences. She assists the Director and Research Development Officer with the development of major institutional funding applications to forward the mission of the Hall Center. The Research Development Specialist also oversees programming that helps humanities scholars develop the skills necessary to articulate the content and significance of their research projects for people outside their areas of research focus, with the goal of making their grant applications more compelling.
Ashley Carlson joined the Hall Center staff in February of 2018 after serving for five years at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She holds a BA in theatre, a Masters of Liberal Arts in creative arts, and an MS in experimental psychology.
